Lottery Application

Admission to Charter School of the Dunes is open to all students who are eligible under the laws of the State of Indiana for admission to public school. In accordance with federal laws, no student will be denied admission to Charter School of the Dunes based on race, ethnicity, national origin, gender, disability, aptitude, or athletic ability. Lottery preference is given to applicants with a current sibling enrolled at or family member employed by Charter School of the Dunes.

  • Pre-K applicants must be 4 years old on or before August 1st, 2024.  Kindergarten applicants must be 5 years old on or before August 1st, 2024.
  • All families applying for a Pre-K seat must submit an On My Way Pre-K (OMW) application before their child can begin in Pre-K at Charter School of the Dunes Early Learning Center.
    • Qualifying for the OMW Pre-K voucher is not a requirement, but applying for it is required.
    • The application for OMW Pre-K opens in March 2024. However, this does not prohibit families from submitting a lottery application now and must be done so prior to the priority deadline for preferences to apply.
  • Families who receive a Pre-K seat for the 2024-25 school year will be guaranteed a Kindergarten seat for the 2025-26 school year.

I verify the above information to be correct, and I understand that completion of this form does not guarantee placement in a school. I further understand that I cannot register my child without appropriate address documentation and that only one application can be submitted per child.

I understand that a child admitted under false information is illegally enrolled and could result in disenrollment upon discovery. I further understand that it is my responsibility as the Parent/Legal Guardian to immediately inform Charter School of the Dunes of any changes to the information provided.
